SCHEDULE OF SERVICES AND EVENTS:

Wednesday, November 27, 8:00 AM: Matins (Morning Prayers)

Thursday, November 28, the Civil Holiday of Thanksgiving: NO Bible Study in the evening. 

Saturday, November 30, 6:00 PM: Saturday evening Vigil

Sunday, December 1, 9:15 AM: Sunday morning Divine Liturgy, followed by Coffee Social Hour, followed by the December monthly meeting of the Parish Sisterhood.

NOTE WELL: Fr. John out of the office, December 2-6: Fr. John will be out of the office all week long, from Monday morning, December 2, to Friday evening, December 6, with the one exception being that we will have Matins (Morning Prayers) to commemorate the Feast of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker on Friday morning, December 6, at 8:00 AM. 

Tuesday, December 3: Sisterhood “pop-up” event, at Barry Farms in Harwinton, CT. See Lynn H., Deb W., or Tammy B., for details. 

Wednesday, December 4, NO Matins: We will NOT have our usual Wednesday morning Matins service on Wednesday morning, December 4. 

Thursday, December 5, NO Bible Study: We will NOT have our usual Thursday evening online Bible Study on Thursday, December 5. 

Friday, December 6, 8:00 AM: Matins (Morning Prayers) for the Feast of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker

Saturday, December 7, 6:00 PM: Saturday evening Vigil

Sunday, December 8, 9:15 AM: Sunday morning Divine Liturgy, followed by Coffee Social Hour, with the Annual Visit of Saint Nicholas to the Parish Children. Also, the Choir will have rehearsal on Sunday, December 8, after the conclusion of Divine Liturgy, to begin preparations for the Christmas services. 

Monday December 9, 6:30 PM, online: The Terryville Parish Council will meet for their December monthly meeting, online, via ZOOM, beginning at 6:30 PM on Monday evening, December 9.  

Wednesday, December 11, 8:00 AM: Matins (Morning Prayers)

Friday, December 13, 8:00 AM: Matins (Morning Prayers) for the Feast of Saint Herman of Alaska 

Saturday, December 14, 6:00 PM: Saturday evening Vigil

Sunday, December 15, 9:15 AM: Sunday morning Divine Liturgy, followed by Coffee Social Hour. Also, the Choir will have rehearsal on Sunday, December 15, after the conclusion of Divine Liturgy, to continue preparations for the Christmas services. 

Wednesday, December 18, 8:00 AM: Matins (Morning Prayers)

Thursday evening, December 19, NO Bible Study: We will NOT have our usual online Bible Study on Thursday evening, December 19, as Fr. John must attend the mandatory monthly meeting of the Connecticut Deanery Clergy at that time. 

Saturday, December 21, 6:00 PM: Saturday evening Vigil

Sunday, December 22, 9:15 AM: Sunday morning Divine Liturgy, followed by Coffee Social Hour. Also, the Choir will have rehearsal on Sunday, December 22, after the conclusion of Divine Liturgy, to continue preparations for the Christmas services. 

Monday evening, December 23, Forefeast of Christmas, 7:00 PM: Compline with the Reading of the Gospel Accounts from Saint Luke’s and Saint Matthew’s Gospels concerning the Birth of Our Lord, God, and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Tuesday evening, December 24, 4:00 PM: The Vigil of Christmas, followed by the Parish “Holy Supper,” as is traditional on Christmas Eve 

Wednesday morning, December 25, Christmas Day, 9:15 AM: Divine Liturgy to mark the Feast of the Nativity (Birth) of Our Lord, God, and Savior, Jesus Christ

Saturday, December 28, 6:00 PM: Saturday evening Vigil

Sunday, December 29, 9:15 AM: Sunday morning Divine Liturgy, followed by Coffee Social Hour

Tuesday evening, December 31, Civil New Year’s Eve, Eve of the Feast of Saint Basil the Great, 7:00 PM: Vespers for the Feast, with added Prayers for the New Year

Wednesday, January 1, New Year’s Day, NO Matins: We will NOT have our usual Wednesday morning Matins service on Wednesday morning, January 1.
